WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) Locals 464 A, 360, 1262, 312 ,and 152, released a joint statement announcing their endorsement of Tammy Murphy to be the Democratic Nominee for the U.S. Senate in the 2024 general election.
UFCW International released the following statement:
“We are proud to announce our endorsement of Tammy Murphy for the US Senate. Murphy is a genuine champion of working people, supporting legislation that would secure hazard pay for essential workers, increase healthcare coverage for all New Jersey residents, ensure healthcare staffing levels are appropriate for quality care, and help bolster workplace protections for grocery workers. Murphy understands the need to deschedule marijuana and support common-sense legislation like the SAFER Banking Act, which is a critical step toward a more secure financial future for cannabis workers. With Tammy Murphy in the U.S. Senate, workers across the Garden State will know they have someone fighting for them in Washington, D.C.”
